Finally, we plot the Weighted Average Download Speed at the Country level for the whole region. One can observe that the countries in the middle of the region are the ones that count with the best infrastructure.

Saudia Arabia had the highest increase in downlaod speed, although Yemen and Algeria saw considerable improvement compared to speeds in 2019.
Every country in MENAAP saw an increase in internet speed over the last 5 years. Libya, Pakistan and Iran had the least increse in per capita download speeds.

Libya, Pakistan still has a 4-14 Mbps population weighted download speed. This could be because of some regions that are completely disconnected. This speed is considerably low for someone trying to work extensively using the internet because it down’t allow multiple tasks being run simultaneously.
Although Yemen saw an increase in speed, the average speed is still in the lower quartiles.
