Daniel Reyes
Daniel Reyes is the World Bank Senior Country Economist for Argentina. He has more than 10 years of research and policy experience, working on issues macroeconomics, international trade, foreign direct investment, and globalization. His academic research work focuses on firm-level responses to regulatory reforms aimed at promoting trade or improving the investment climate in developing countries. Daniel has experience leading policy dialogue in Latin-America, Africa, Europe, and Asia. Previously, he was the World Bank Senior Country Economist for Cabo Verde and Guinea-Bissau. Prior to joining The World Bank, he worked for the Inter-American Development Bank and for the Colombian government conducting macro monitoring in Latin American countries. Daniel holds a PhD in Economics from Georgetown University, where he received the Razin prize for the best dissertation in Economics.
