Sonia Araujo
Sonia Araujo is a senior economist at The World Bank Economic Policy Global Practice. She has worked on economic analysis and policy advice in multilateral institutions for nearly 20 years, covering global, regional and country specific themes. She has led policy dialogue in developed, emerging and developing economies in Europe, Africa and Latin America, on a wide array of topics covering growth and structural reform, macroeconomic and fiscal policy, tax policy, public investment, international trade and foreign direct investment, as well as industrial organization, market structure and competition policy. Prior to joining the World Bank, Sonia worked for 13 years in the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), where she was Head of Desk for Mexico and Costa Rica.
