Alison Cathles
Alison Cathles is a Senior Specialist in the Competitiveness, Technology, and Innovation Division (CTI) at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). She is also an affiliated researcher at UNU-MERIT. She holds a PhD in Innovation, Economics and Governance for Development from UNU-MERIT / Maastricht University and a Master’s in Public Administration and Public Policy from the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs (CIPA) at Cornell University. Her research is focused the evolution of opportunities and challenges specific to technological changes taking place in the world around us, and on the role of skills and different educational pathways in digital technology adoption, economic growth, and innovation.
